The big question is why do Nanowrimo this year?
Last year, although it nearly killed me, I reached the targeted 50,000 words in twelve days. A lot of that success was due to Inkpot, our ML, with whom I did plenty of word wars. It will be difficult to do the same this year as she will be in a different time zone - 12 hours ahead!
So why do it this year?

To increase your pile of finished books! :D (sneaky not allowing anon comments). I'm so glad you are doing Nanowrimo this year - and blogging about it - but I'm sorry I won't be here to do it with you (well, I will be doing it, but as you say, 12 hours ahead!)
I am glad to hear you are doing NaNoWriMo again this year. I wish you every success and look forward to reading your finished novel.
Thanks, Marvin & Inkpot for words of encouragement!
If we reach our target on the same date and time, Inkpot, you'll be 12 hours ahead and will beat me to it!!
Sorry about the comments - I think it's the default setting (isn't your Nan blog the same?). I'll change it!
